Homemade Bolognese Sauce Recipe

This perfect, tasty Bolognese sauce recipe is the best way to end a busy day with a smile in dinner time. It taste great and it easily make a flavorful dinner in almost 30 minutes. The good news is you can¬†make it more and freeze the remaining of this awesome sauce and use it for 2 or even more times with¬†different type of pastas whenever you don’t have enough time to cook the meals.

Ingredients for Bolognese sauce

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 celery sticks
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bay leafs
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 spring rosemary
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Pour in the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat then add the chopped onions and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes until the onions are tender. Add the minced garlic and saute for 2 minutes more.

Add the ground beef to the cooked onion mixture and cook stirring until the meat is browned all over.

finely chop the celery and carrot.

Add the carrot, celery, rosemary and oregano to meat mixture and cook stirring for about 5 minutes.

Puree the tomatoes and pour the puree into the meat mixture.

Bring the mixture to a boil.

Add the beef broth and bay leafs into the mixture and season with salt and pepper.

Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes until cooked and thickened.
