Basil Pesto Recipe with Lemon
I think pesto is a wonderful sauce that you can use in many recipes such as pasta, pizza, and different salads. I made this sauce with fresh lemons and recommend this amazing combination to all of you.
Prepare the ingredients for the pesto sauce. Drain the basil leaves after washing them.
Put the basil leaves in a food processor or a mixer. After a few seconds add the parmesan cheese and mix them.
Add the walnuts and garlic to the basils and mix them until they are combined well.
Now add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper and mix them at high speed to combine them perfectly.
Add the olive oil to the sauce and mix them with a small spoon.
The lemon pesto sauce is ready. You can use this sauce in different salads, pasta, sandwiches, and pizza.
Tips and tricks
- You can keep your pesto sauce in a lidded dish in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
Background & History
I preferer making a small amount of this sauce in a classic way by smashing the ingredients, but when I am in hurry I make it with the food processor that is also a good way to prepare this delicious sauce.
