Classic Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
You are going to love the soft texture and wonderful taste and smell of this cookie. This cookie texture is super soft and is a perfect choice to have with your afternoon tea or to start your day with your cup of coffee or glass of milk.
First, preheat the oven at 180C to warm up. The egg and butter should be at room temperature.
Mix the butter with sugar and brown sugar with a blender at high speed until it becomes light and puffy (for about 3 to 5 minutes). Scrape the excess butter with a scraper to be mixed well with the rest.
Now add the peanut butter and mix it with butter for about 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them for one minute.
Now sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda on the batter and mix them.
The cookie dough is ready and there is no need to knead or let it rest.
Put some parchment paper on the oven tin and then place one scoop of the batter on it. Make it even and flat by your hand and print some shapes on it with a fork or skewer.
Bake them inside the oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the tin after they cool down.
Tips and tricks
- If you use sweet peanut butter you should use less sugar in the recipe.
- You should put them in an electric oven at 170C for 10 minutes.
- The cookies are still being cooked outside the oven. You should remove them from the tin after they have cooled down completely.
