Ingredients for creamy mashed potato
- 2 pounds russet potato
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- salt and pepper to taste
First peel the potatoes and cut them into half to cook faster.
Plunge the potatoes into a pot of water and bring the water to a boil then Cook them for about 20 minutes until they are tender but still firm.
Now drain the potatoes.
Place the hot potatoes in a large bowl and add the cubed butter. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Try to mash the potatoes with hand and use a hand masher, using a stand mixer or food processor can cause a gluey and gummy texture.
Now add the heavy cream and mash again until blended, add enough salt and pepper too.
At the end pour in the milk a little at a time while mashing again until reach to your desired consistency.
