Spaghetti is one of my favorite comfort food and here I’m gonna share the recipe of this delicious cheesy meatballs with a homemade rich and thick tomato pasta sauce witch is perfect for spaghetti. I bet you’re gonna love it…
Ingredients for meatballs with tomato sauce
- 2 cup homemade tomato pasta sauce
- 1/2 pound grated meat
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Place the breadcrumbs in a bowl and pour in the milk, stir to combine. set aside, after 2 to 3 minutes the breadcrumbs will absorb the milk and become soggy.
Meanwhile, grate the onion and remove its water.
Add the grated beef, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, pepper and salt.
Add chopped cilantro and the breadcrumb mixture.
Mix all ingredients with your fingers until well combined.
Pinch off a piece of the meat mixture and roll it between your hands to form a meatball.
Pour olive oil in a pan over medium heat and place the meatballs in the pan, cook them until they are brown outside and cooked inside about 10 minutes.
Pour the tomato sauce in a pan and add 1 glass of water then stir to combine.
Place the meatballs in the tomato sauce and simmer foe about 20 minutes.
Now the meatballs are ready and the sauce is thickened.
Serve your delicious meatballs with spaghetti and enjoy.
